Q7) Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product.
Q7) Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product.
I have learnt about how important it is to carry a consistent house style though out all of my pages. As well as how important it is to create a very individual style to stand out and be noticed however at the same time it fits with conventions and doesn't go against what is recognized as being successful. Something els I feel I have learnt from progressing from my Preliminary task is the general quality of work because of the deconstructions I can now produce a a far more quality and professional magazine.

Q6) What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
Blogger : At the start of this production of my media product I had never used or even really come across Blogger however i now feel I can call my self a “blogger”
Slide share : Like blogger i had never come across or used this but now find it a very useful and easy tool to use and just gives that extra method to portray what I am thinking.
Surveys : Of corse I have conducted surveys before however never online To do this I choose to use Survey Monkey it I found it a really easy and effective way to quickly gain the view of a sample of people about something i needed to research.
Q5) How did you attract/address your audience?
Q5) How did you attract/address your audience?
My target audience is youth and young adults so I wanted to design a informative yet creative magazine which wouldn't be to chatty however at the same time not to formal either. To do this I choose to write in a style which is very informative however not to in-depth and academic. My photographs and general layout design I chose to give it quite an artistic and creative effect which is clearly shown on my double page spread with my photography. In order to make my magazine stand out on the rack I designed my front cover to keep to the conventions-I have also placed the mast heading over the top of the artist because it is a new magazine and the front or style is not immediately recognizable until it has built up a reparation and it a fully established magazine such a NME and Q were they will some times place the artist over the mast heading. I have kept a running house style though out my three pages this means the way I address the audience stays consistent and they will know form the front cover ruffle how the magazine will progress. I also included puffs which are known for being effective with my target audience.
Q4) Who would be the audience for your media product?
Q4) Who would be the audience for your media product?
The audience for my media product would be youth and young adults from all areas of life but have a common interest in Rock/Metal music. The reason for this is because it is to formal for children and it is not aimed at people 30+. The reason i know this is my target audience and i need to aim it to this age bracket is because of my vox pop video were I researched the genres of Music magazine people read and found that in most cases once people were over 30 they didn't tend to read this genre of music magazine.
